GCVA hosts show featuring Anchorage Clay Arts Guild

 The Girdwood Center for Visual Arts hosted the Anchorage Clay Arts Guild on the evening of Oct.7 in a well-attended community opening reception titled “Thrown Together” featuring pottery works of art from numerous local artists.

 The second-annual “Thrown Together” event featured pottery  from several potters including Melissa Adams, Reyne Athanas, Jenny DiHo, Kim Forbes, Kelly Hebert, Brnda Horvath, Lynne Jablonski, Lupe Marroquin, Penny Panlener, Mary Pirtz, Thais Thomas, L. Trim, and Emily Wickham.

 The Anchorage Clay Arts Guild will be featured throughout the month of October at  the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts with works available for purchase with proceeds supporting both organizations.   

 The Girdwood Center for Visual Arts is a non-profit co-op gallery hosting Alaskan artists who work in a wide variety of media.  The Girdwood Center for Visual Arts is located at 194 Olympic Mountain Loop and is open daily Thursday through Monday, 10 am to 5 pm.
